My domain name is being used to send spam, what can I do?

The Problem: Sender Address Forgery

Nearly all abusive e-mail messages carry fake sender addresses. The domain owners suffer because their reputation gets diminished and have to waste time sorting out misdirected bounce messages.

Evidence of your domain name being used for spam can be found when you receive an error message saying that a message allegedly sent by you could not be delivered to the recipient, even though, you never sent a message to that address.

Solution: SPF

Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an open standard specifying a technical method to prevent sender address forgery.

To learn more about SPF, please visit the following link: http://www.openspf.org/

You may implement SPF for your domain by logging into the PLESK control panel for your domain and adding an appropriate SPF DNS record.

If you would Dotnet Services to add a SPF DNS record for your domain, please open a Support Ticket by sending an email to support@dotnet-services.net . Please include the domain name for which you would like implement SPF.
